Potassium permanganate is a strong oxidizing agent, and its solution has sterilization, disinfection and antiseptic effects. In recent years, vegetable farmers have been using it to prevent and control vegetable diseases, and have achieved more satisfactory results. Potassium permanganate has been used to prevent and control Sudden Falling Disease in eggplant seedlings, powdery mildew in melons and gourds, and wilt in melons. Potassium permanganate can also be used to sterilize greenhouses and disinfect seeding soil. At the same time, it can supplement two nutrients needed by vegetables, namely manganese and potassium, which can improve vegetable yield and have a dual role of fertilizer and medicine. Therefore, potassium permanganate is a kind of vegetable fungicide which is non-toxic, non-residual and non-polluting.
